Using the System
About
This is the Wiki for the Event Signup System (ESS) in use on www.guildevents.net, www.raidsignup.net and The Pub.
You can be a co-author and are as such welcome to add and edit articles as long as You feel you can improve on what you see.
Target Audience
This Wiki is intended for Administrators and Users of the Event Signup System (ESS).
The ESS is intended for any Guild or Alliance in need of a scheduling system and/or a point management system for their events in either of the following games :
- Age of Conan
- EverQuest I
- EverQuest II
- Lord of the Rings, Online
- Vanguard, Saga of Heroes
- Warhammer Online
- World of Warcraft
Features
- Account driven, allowing control of who can view/sign up for raids.
- Single guild or multi-guild raiding alliances.
- Minimum and maximum level restrictions for each raid.
- Minimum and maximum class restrictions at the Type, Archetype, and Class levels.
- Reusable Event Templates, making it easy to post new events.
- Signup lists and Queueing for each raid managed automatically.
- Signup times listed in users timezone (user configuration).
- Email notifications of In Raid status (Queue -> Raid, Raid -> Queue, Canceled Raids) (User can disable).
- Highly customizable Point Systems (DKP etc.), maintained per character or per account.

Getting started
Option 1
On guildevents.net you have full access to a free version of the Event Signup System. A database exists for each available server for each of the games supported. Included is also a shared forum for all the users of guildevents.net to use.
New servers/games are added in the order the need for them arises and they are all molded around the same template. You can share your events with your server/game community or you can set up your own guild and keep your events private and hidden from view.
Active modules include : Accounts, Characters, Signups with simple queuing, Simple Event Reports, Email-Notifications, Roster and RSS
Option 2
If a shared, limited setup is not enough for your needs or if you are in need of your own forums as well, then raidsignup.net offers a more specialized and advanced configuration for a monthly $10.00 fee.
Apart from getting your own forums (phpBB, SMF, etc) you get your very own copy of the ESS where only you and the people you invite have access. One or more of your users can become administrators with extended access to configure and maintain users, loot policies, event reports and transactsion (DKP).
You will also get your own subdomain from where you can reach your pages. (e.g. mydoimain.raidsignup.net)
Active modules include : Accounts, Characters, Signups with advanced queuing, Advanced Event Reports, Email-Notifications, Roster, RSS, Policies, Policy Flags, Attendance Statistics, Polls and Items.
Option 3
If you / your guild / your alliance is playing on the Mistmoore Server, you also have the option to sign up on The Pub (an open raiding alliance) and use the ESS there. Much like on guildevents.net, You can have your guild created and set up private events.
The ESS Source Code
We don't give out the source code for the ESS so there's not much point in asking for it. We are however more than willing to provide whatever help we can offer to make a seamless integration with your existing website.
